Who We Are
Paw Prints Animal Rescue (PPAR) was established in 2004 as a volunteer-driven nonprofit. The original founders continue managing operations alongside foster volunteers who open their homes to animals until adoption. Today we specialize exclusively in cat and kitten rescue.
Our Mission
We work to place cats in permanent, loving homes while raising awareness about pet overpopulation and the importance of spaying and neutering. We accept strays and kittens based on available foster capacity, and we partner with the Wake County SPCA and rural shelters to rescue cats with medical needs or those facing euthanasia.
The Forever Home Program
Before adoption, every cat is tested, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites, and sterilized. Our cats live in volunteer foster homes — never cages — where they receive individualized care and socialization until we find them the right match.
A Lifetime Commitment
Adoptive families sign a contract promising to return their animal to Paw Prints if they can no longer provide proper care. Once a cat is one of ours, they will never be homeless again.
